Upcoming Children's Room Programs


“Blast Off”
On Monday, July 22 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. join us at the Leach Library to hear stories about adventures in rocket ships! Participants will also sing a song about what they might wear to the moon, followed by a group rocket ship building game using a variety of shapes. Let’s see what we can create! *Registration is required and begins the Thursday before the program.

“Story Time – We’re Going on an Adventure”
Come to the Leach Library on Tuesday, July 23 from
10:00 – 10:30 a.m. to hear stories about both people and animals going on adventures. Patrons of all ages are invited to an energetic half-hour program of exciting stories, frolicking finger plays, and sensational songs. No registration is required for this drop-in program.


“Mike the Bubble Man”
If you love blowing bubbles and wonder how they work, this is the program for you! Mike the Bubble Man will be at the Leach Library on Wednesday, July 24 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. to teach us about how bubbles work and show us some new ways to blow bubbles of different shapes and sizes. Through illusion and science, Mike the Bubble Man will teach and entertain with this interactive program. *Registration is required and begins the Thursday before the program.

“Craft Time – Design your own canvas book bag”
Come to the Leach Library on Thursday, July 25 from
10:00 – 10:30 a.m. or 1:00 – 1:45 p.m. to design and color your own canvas book bag, perfect for carrying your library books. *Registration is required and begins the Thursday before the program.
