Starting Monday, April 8 and ending on Saturday, April 13, each children’s item checked out from the Leach Library will earn you a raffle ticket for a chance to win a cool book bag. Stop by the display case in the Children’s Room to see what the prize looks like.
“National Library Week Craft”
Starting Monday, April 8 and ending on Saturday, April 13, patrons are invited to create their own magnetic library themed picture frame. Stop by the Leach Library Children’s Room desk to pick up the supplies and create your picture frame in the library or in the comfort of your own home.
“Help Select This Year’s Great Stone Face Award Winner”
The New Hampshire Great Stone Face Award nominees are books selected by librarians for children in grades 4-6. Through Saturday, April 6, for every book read from the list of nominated titles, participants receive one raffle ticket. All the raffle tickets will be entered into a random drawing for a chance to win a great prize. Voting on your favorite book from the list starts on Monday, April 8 at 9:00 a.m. and ends on Saturday, April 13. The raffle is open to all participants in grades 4-6. Stop by the Leach Library Children’s Room desk to pick up a list of the nominated books and help us choose this year’s winner!
“Get Growing”
Earth Day is around the corner and spring is in the air. Come into the Leach Library on Monday, April 15 from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. to hear exciting stories about plants and gardens. From towering trees and brightly colored flowers to tasty vegetables, these stories will inspire participants to explore their backyards and maybe even find out how “green” their thumb is! All participants will leave with a daisy-shaped clapper. This entertaining program is open to 90 participants of all ages and advance registration is required. To register, stop by the Children’s Room, or call 432-1127 beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, April 8.
