On
Thursday, September 13 at 7:00 p.m., the Leach Library will offer the program “John
Winant: New Hampshire Man of the World” by Richard Hesse.
Richard
Hesse is currently Professor Emeritus at the UNH School of Law. He has published on a variety of legal and
ethical topics. His academic
concentration is on state and federal constitutional law and international
human rights.
Join
Mr. Hesse as he examines the life and impact of John G. Winant. A three-time governor of New Hampshire, Mr.
Winant went on to serve the nation in several capacities on the national and
international level. In the process, he
became a hero to the British in World War II as well as the common man
throughout the developed world.
This
program is free and open to the public with seating limited to the first 90
individuals. It will be held in the
library’s lower-level meeting room. Light refreshments will be served.
