“Create
a Craft”
In the month of September, the Leach Library Children’s Room will be
offering a new fun craft each week. At the start of each week, the library will
provide supplies for a new, creative craft and place them in the box on the
spotlight shelf for patrons to create. A new craft may be picked up each week
starting at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday 9/4, and Monday 9/10, 9/17 and 9/24.
“Delve
into Knowledge”
In the month of September, Leach Library Children’s Room will be
offering an exciting weekly trivia challenge. Stop by the Children’s Room desk
to answer our special trivia challenge question. If you are not sure of the
answer, use one of our books or the Internet to help you. All answers will be
entered into a drawing for a chance to win a cool prize. A new trivia challenge
will be available each week starting at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday 9/4, and Monday
9/10, 9/17 and 9/24.
“This is My House”
Come to the Leach
Library on Monday, September 10 from
4:00 - 5:00 p.m. to explore the many different places that people and animals make into a home. From a treehouse in the backyard, to a cave deep underground, audience members never know where the next home will be found. We will have a fun matching game to match animals to their homes. Each participant will leave with an inflatable hammer. One lucky participant will win a cardboard barn playhouse to take home, decorate and build! This exciting program is open to 90 participants of all ages and advance registration is required. To register, stop by the Children’s Room, or call 432-1127 beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 4.

Fall Session 1 Programs:
The Leach Library Children’s
Room will be offering the following programs as part of Fall Session 1: Craft
Time; Shake, Move & Read; and Toddler Time. Fall Session 1 will start
September 12 and end October 4. Advance registration is required. To register,
stop by the Children’s Room, or call 432-1127 beginning at 9:00 a.m. on
Tuesday, September 4.
“Craft Time” Calling all children! Children of all ages are invited
to the Leach Library to explore their creative side. Each week, participants
will discover a different fun craft to make using a variety of materials. Meets
on Wednesdays, 9:30 - 10:15 a.m. Advance registration is required. Meeting
dates are: 9/12, 9/19, 9/26 and 10/3.
“Shake, Move & Read” This engaging program held at the Leach
Library is open to participants of all ages. Each week, participants will
energetically explore a different theme using songs, fantastic finger plays, a
story and a simple craft. From the opening welcome song to the final finger
play, participants will be moving and grooving the afternoon away. This
exhilarating and fun-filled program will be held on Wednesdays from 4:00 – 4:45
p.m. Advance registration is required. Meeting dates are: 9/12, 9/19, 9/26 and
10/3.
“Toddler
Time” This Leach Library program is open to children
ages 2 & 3. Children attend with their parents and enjoy a fun half-hour of
thematic stories, games, songs and a simple craft. Meets on Thursdays, 9:30 -
10:00 a.m. Advance registration is required. Meeting dates are: 9/13, 9/20,
9/27 and 10/4.
