Children's Summer Reading Programs

“Animal Babies”
Come to the library on Monday, July 31 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. to hear stories of babies from around the animal kingdom. From ducklings to puppies, cubs to kittens, we will meet a plethora of cute little friends. Participants will have the opportunity to help a mother duck find her babies and try to match baby to its parent. To register, stop by the Children’s Room, or call 432-1127. Registration is required and begins the Thursday prior to the program.
“Story Time – If you’re happy and you know it”
Bounce on into the library on Tuesday, August 1 from 10:00 – 10:30 a.m. to celebrate all the many things that make people happy! Patrons of all ages are invited to an energetic half-hour program of exciting stories, frolicking finger plays and sensational songs. Each week, one lucky patron will win a special raffle prize. No registration is required for this drop-in program.
“Puppet Play Puppet Show”
Come to the library on Wednesday. August 2 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and join Gerwick Puppets for a musical mystery adventure. During this fun loving program, participants will follow two children as they try to solve the mystery of the disappearing pile of wood. Full of music and fun, this performance will have audiences eager to solve the mystery. To register, stop by the Children’s Room, or call 432-1127. Registration is required and begins the Thursday prior to the program.
“Craft Time – Design your own wrist pouch”
Come to the library on Thursday, August 3 from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. or 1:00 – 1:45 p.m. to create your own wrist pouch. During this program, patrons will be able to create their own fun design using fabric markers. Each session is open to 70 participants. To register, stop by the Children’s Room, or call 432-1127. Registration is required and begins the Thursday prior to the program.
