Children’s Summer Reading Programs

“Slow and Steady”
Meander into the library on Monday, July 17 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. to hear stories of some of the slowest animals in the world. From a sleepy sloth to a patient tortoise, we will be in no hurry to finish these stories. We will even have a race to see who the slowest animal is. To register, stop by the Children’s Room, or call 432-1127. Registration is required and begins the Thursday prior to the program.
“Story Time – Tiki Time”
Cruise into the library on Tuesday, July 18 from 10:00 – 10:30 a.m. to hear stories of beaches, sand and surf. Patrons of all ages are invited to an energetic half-hour program of exciting stories, frolicking finger plays and sensational songs. Each week, one lucky patron will win a special raffle prize. No registration is required for this drop-in program.
“Benjamin the Juggler”
Come to the library on Wednesday, July 19 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. for a program full of juggling fun with master juggler Benjamin. Participants will be amazed by Benjamin’s humorous and fun-filled entertainment. With lots of audience participation and thrilling juggling feats, this show will leave the audience wanting more. To register, stop by the Children’s Room, or call 432-1127. This program is being sponsored by The Friends of the Londonderry Leach Library. Registration is required and begins the Thursday prior to the program.
“Craft Time – Create your own felt puppet”
Come to the library on Thursday, July 20 from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. or 1:00 – 1:45 p.m. to design your own fuzzy friend. During this program, patrons will be able to decorate their puppets using fabric markers and other materials. Each session is open to 70 participants. To register, stop by the Children’s Room, or call 432-1127. Registration is required and begins the Thursday prior to the program.
