Children’s Summer Reading Programs

“Shark Tales”
Jump into stories about some of the most impressive fish in the sea at the library on Monday, July 3, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. During this adventurous program we will meet sharks of many sizes and hear about some of their very fascinating characteristics. Participants will have a chance to play a “Guess Who” game with sharks and help a shark find his way home. To register, stop by the Children’s Room, or call 432-1127. Registration is required and begins the Thursday prior to the program.

“Camp Out”
Come to the library on Wednesday, July 5, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. to hear stories of the great outdoors. Summertime is a great time to get out and go camping. Participants will gather around our campfire to hear stories of camping trips, forest friends and wild adventures. During this fun-filled program we may try to make a rainstorm and sing some rousing camp songs. Each participant will leave with a bright fabric visor; perfect for keeping the sun out of their eyes on their next trip. To register, stop by the Children’s Room, or call 432-1127. Registration is required and begins the Thursday prior to the program.

“Craft Time – Design your own canvas apron”
Come to the library on Thursday, July 6 from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. or 1:00 – 1:45 p.m. to decorate your own fun apron. During this program, patrons will be able to decorate their aprons using fabric markers.  Each session is open to 70 participants. To register, stop by the Children’s Room, or call 432-1127.
