Children's Summer Reading Program Events

“Story Time – Medieval Times”
 Come to the library on Tuesday, June 28 from 10:00 – 10:30 a.m. to hear stories of kings and queens, knights and dragons. Patrons of all ages are invited to this energetic half-hour program of exciting stories, frolicking finger plays and sensational songs. Each week, one lucky patron will win a special raffle prize.  No registration is required for this drop-in program. No registration is required for this drop-in program.
“Pied Piper of Hamelin Puppet Show”
 Join Cactus Head Puppets on Wednesday, June 29 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. for an enjoyable time of puppetry fun. The town of Hamelin has a rat problem, and there's only one person who can help! Cactus Head Puppets bring the story to life with a cast of colorful characters, and some dancing rats, in this comedic adaptation of the traditional folktale. Not only does the town find a musical solution to pest control, but the kids of Hamelin also teach the grownups a lesson about generosity. In the end, the townspeople all come together in celebration. Registration is required and begins at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 23. To register call 432-1127 or come by the Children’s Room. Craft Time – Create your own pennant frame” 
Come to the library on Thursday, June 30 from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. or 1:00 – 1:45 p.m. to create your own pennant picture frame. During this program, patrons will be able to decorate their frame using a variety of materials. Each session is open to 70 participants. Registration is required and begins at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 23. To register call 432-1127 or come by the Children’s Room.
