Upcoming Children's Room Programs

“Help Select This Year’s Great Stone Face Award Winner”
 The New Hampshire Great Stone Face Award nominees are books selected by librarians for children grades 4-6. Beginning this month, for every book read from the list of nominated titles, participants receive one raffle ticket. All the raffle tickets will be entered into a random drawing for a chance to win a great prize. You may earn raffle tickets through closing on Saturday, April 9. Voting on your favorite book from the list begins Monday, April 11 at 9:00 a.m. and concludes at closing on Saturday, April 16. The raffle is open to all participants in grades 4-6. Stop by the Children’s circulation desk to pick up a list of the nominated books and help us choose this year’s winner! 
“Sweetheart Book Bingo”
 Come to the library on Monday, February 8 from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. to play a popular picture version of this classic game. All participants will win and have a chance to choose books from our special selection tables. Pick out a book for yourself, or maybe for someone special. This exciting program is open to 90 participants of all ages. Advance registration is required and begins at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, February 1. “Children’s Winter Session 2 Programs”
 The Children’s Room will be offering the following programs as part of Winter Session 1: Craft Time, Shake, Move & Read, and Toddler Time. Winter Session 1 will run February 10 through March 3, 2016. Advance registration is required and begins on Monday, February 1. To register, call 432-1127 or stop by the Children’s Room.                                 
Craft Time - Calling all children! Children of all ages are invited to the library to explore their creative side.  Using a variety of materials, each week participants will discover a different fun craft to create. Meets on Wednesdays, 9:30 – 10:15 a.m. Advance registration is required.  Meeting dates are: 2/10, 2/17, 2/24 and 3/2.  
Shake, Move & Read - This engaging program is open to participants of all ages. Each week participants will energetically explore a different theme using songs, fantastic finger plays, a story and simple craft. From the opening welcome song, to the final finger play, participants will be moving and grooving the afternoon away. This exhilarating and fun-filled program is open to participants of all ages and will be held on Wednesdays from 4:00 – 4:45 p.m. Meeting dates are: 2/10, 2/17, 2/24 and 3/2.   
Toddler Time - This program is open to children ages 2 & 3. Children attend with their parents and enjoy a fun half-hour of thematic stories, games, songs and a simple craft. Meets on Thursdays, 9:30 - 10:00 a.m. Advance registration is required. Meeting dates are: 2/11, 2/18, 2/25 and 3/3.
