“Oceanology Books Bingo”

Visit the library on Monday, July 7 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. to play a fun picture version of the popular game. Every participant will win and be able to choose books from our special selection table. Registration is required and begins the Thursday prior to the program.

“Story Time -Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes”

Come to the library on Tuesday, July 8 from 10:00 – 10:30 a.m. to hear stories all about you! Patrons of all ages are invited to an energetic half-hour program of exciting stories, frolicking finger plays and sensational songs. Each week, one lucky patron will win a special raffle prize. No registration is required for this drop-in program.

“Element of Surprise – Animal Defenses”

Join Mona Headen and Critters ‘N Creatures at the library on Wednesday, July 9 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. to learn all about how animals stay safe in nature. Mona will discuss behaviors such as puffing up to look bigger and scarier, the use of bristles or quills as defense, and stinky glands. Some animals that may be present include: a bearded dragon, tenrec, polecat and a red/black striped milk snake (live animals). Registration is required and begins the Thursday prior to the program. This program is being sponsored by the Friends of the Londonderry Leach Library.

“Craft Time - Decorate your own bucket hat”

Come to the library on Thursday, July 10 from 10:00 – 10:45 or 1:00 – 1:45 p.m. to decorate your own bucket hat. Using fabric markers, patrons will have a chance to decorate a cool summer accessory. Each session is open to 70 participants. Registration is required and begins the Thursday prior to the program.
