Upcoming Children's Room Programs

Entomology

Get buggy at the library on Monday, June 30 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. with stories about our favorite insects. During this program, we will learn what insect songs you hear in your backyard, try our hand at identifying different insects and have a ball with bugs. Registration is required and begins at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 26. To register call 432-1127 or come by the Children’s Room.

Story Time – Zoo Day

Come to the library on Tuesday, July 1 from 10:00 – 10:30 a.m. to hear stories of lions and tiger and bears, oh my! Patrons of all ages are invited to an energetic half-hour program of exciting stories, frolicking finger plays and sensational songs. Each week, one lucky patron will win a special raffle prize. No registration is required for this drop-in program.

Gone Fishing

Spend the morning on a fishing trip at the library on Wednesday, July 2 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Participants will hear stories of fish big and small and maybe even find out what lurks in McElligot’s pool. All participants will have a chance to try their hand at a fishing game and will leave with an inflatable fish. Registration is required and begins the Thursday prior to the program.

Craft Time - Create your own puzzle

Come to the library on Thursday, July 3 from 10:00 – 10:45 or 1:00 – 1:45 p.m. to create your own puzzle. During this program, patrons will be able to create a picture and then we will cut it into a puzzle to take home. Each session is open to 70 participants. Registration is required and begins the Thursday prior to the program.
