Kick-off National Library Week with a visit from everyone’s favorite monkey, Curious George on Monday, April 15 from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. Hear stories of Curious George as well as other friends such as the Berenstain Bears, Olivia and Franklin. During this program, participants will talk about how these literary stars made the move to the small, and sometimes big, screen and how the book is different from the shows. There will be time for a hug and photo with George at the end of the program. This program is open to 90 participants. Advance registration is required and begins at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, April 8. Meet Aquatic Critters at the Leach Library Children’s Room
Come to the library on Wednesday, April 17 from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. to explore the mysterious worlds of Aquatic Critters with the Squam Lakes Science Center. This exciting program will introduce participants, through the use of props such as pelts and skulls, to various animals that live in New Hampshire’s waterways. Some animals that may be present include a beaver, mink and turtle. (live animals). This program is open to 90 participants.
