Upcoming Young Adult Summer Programs

Sign-up for our exciting summer program, Own the Night is ongoing through August 13, 2012. In addition to reading and earning tickets for some excellent raffle prizes, meetings are held each Thursday evening in July from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the lower level meeting room. Additional raffle opportunities are available to participants in these meetings. Here is the upcoming meeting schedule -

Thursday, July 19: Did You Know?

Bring fascinating facts about the world around us to share with the group, or come and listen to all sorts of amazing but true facts that other people have to share. If you can find facts about night time, nightmares, or ghosts, these will be of particular interest. Snacks and drinks are served. By attending, you may win one of the special door prizes that will be raffled off to lucky participants.

Thursday, July 25: Book Discussion

In keeping with our theme of Own the Night, this year’s discussion book is The Owl Keeper by Christine Brodien Jones. Read about max Unger, his friend Rose, the dangerous forest, and the time of the Owl Keeper. The exciting adventure will keep you turning the page to the enthralling climax. All paperback copies have been distributed, although we have one copy available to be reserved and checked out. If you haven’t read the book yet, come and learn why this is a great summer read. Snacks and drinks are served. By attending, you may win one of the special door prizes that will be raffled off to lucky participants.
