Star Stories and Owls of New Hampshire this week at the Leach Library Children’s Room


Star Stories: On Monday, July 23 we will explore the stars above from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Hear different stories about how the stars came to be and learn how different constellations got their names. Registration is required



Owls of New Hampshire: Who calls in the night? Who glides through the dark on shadowy wings in silent flight? The Squam Lakes Science Center will be at the library on Wednesday, July 25 from 11:00 am. – 12:00 p.m. to introduce some of New Hampshire’s mysterious owls and to discuss what is myth and what is fact about these beautiful, nocturnal birds of prey (live animals). Registration is required. This program is being sponsored by the Friends of the Londonderry Leach Library.



Registration for the “Star Stories” and “Owls of New Hampshire”, as well as our exciting Thursday craft where we will be making Door Hangers, begins at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 19. To register, call 603-432-1127 or stop by the Children’s Room.



Also this week, we have a drop in story time on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. as well as an exciting Scavenger Hunts on Saturdays.
