On Thursday, October 17 at 7:00 p.m., Mr. Davis Bates will
present “Halloween Harvest: Ghosts, Goblins & More.”
Mr. Bates
has been telling stories for forty years in schools, libraries, colleges, and
community settings around New England and across the country. His recording of Family Stories won a

by Booklist Magazine.
Join Mr.
Bates as he performs harvest stories from the past and present, songs of the
supernatural, Native American stories, true-life ghost stories, and family
tales. There will be sing-alongs in
addition to a short lesson in how to play music with spoons from a kitchen
drawer.
This
program is free and open to the public with seating limited to the first 90
individuals. It will be held in the
library’s lower-level meeting room. Light
