“Seashells in My Pocket: Getting to Know the Seashells of the Gulf of Maine” at Leach Library

On Thursday, April 11 at 7:00 p.m., Mr. T.J. Cullinane will share his presentation “Seashells in My Pocket: Getting to Know the Seashells of the Gulf of Maine” at the Leach Library.

Derry resident T.J. Cullinane grew up on the New England coast and credits his father for imparting to him a deep and abiding love of the ocean.  Educated at Salem State University and the University of Oklahoma, T.J. made a 25-year career in the U.S. Army.  He is currently a member of the Massachusetts Marine Educators and volunteers as an outreach coordinator with the Friends of Lynn and Nahant Beach.

Join Mr. Cullinane as he discusses how to identify different seashells found along the Gulf of Maine.  He will display some of his own shells and specimens for the audience to view and invites attendees to bring their own seashells to share.

This program is free and open to the public with seating limited to the first 90 individuals.  It will be held in the library’s lower-level meeting room.  Light refreshments will be served.
