On
Thursday, March 21 at 7:00 p.m., the library will have Mr. Tom O’Carroll present
“Dublin in Song and Story”.
Dublin-born
folklorist, folk-singer, and instrumentalist Tom O’Carroll brings a wealth of stories,
humor, wit, and history to his performances.
He has played at concerts, festivals, colleges, libraries, and pubs all
over the U.S. and Canada, as well as his native Ireland and a brief time in
South Korea.
Mr.
O’Carroll will captivate the audience with his lively performance of Irish
culture, telling the tales and singing the songs of Dublin, his native
city. This capital city on the River
Liffey has an abundance of history and colorful characters that he will
introduce during the program.
This
program is free and open to the public with seating limited to the first 90
individuals. It will be held in the
library’s lower-level meeting room. Light refreshments will be served.
