“Jack-O’-Lantern Jamboree”
The Leach Library
will be hosting its annual Halloween celebrations on Monday, October 22 and
Tuesday, October 23 from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. Those who wish to may participate in
a costume parade beginning at 4:15 p.m. each day. During this fun-filled and
energetic program, we will follow the adventures of some silly monsters as they
drive around town, meet a Little Old Lady
who was not afraid of anything, and be introduced to a very silly pig and
pug. Participants will have a chance to help build a Jack-O’-Lantern puzzle
and, after some fun Halloween songs, will say a Halloween Good Night. All participants will leave with a treat bag
filled with festive prizes and a simple craft. These fun-filled programs are
open to 90 participants for each session and advance registration is required.

a.m. on Monday, October 15.
Fall Session 2 Programs:
The Children’s Room will be offering the following programs
as part of Fall Session 2: Craft Time; Shake, Move & Read; and Toddler
Time. Fall Session 2 start October 24 and end November 15. Advance registration
is required. To register, stop by the Children’s Room, or call 432-1127
beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, October 15.
“Craft Time” Calling
all children! Children of all ages are invited to the library to explore their
creative side. Each week, participants will discover a different fun craft to
make using a variety of materials. Meets on Wednesdays, 9:30 – 10:15 a.m.
Advance registration is required. Meeting dates are: 10/24, 10/31, 11/7 and
11/14.
“Shake, Move &
Read” This engaging program is open to participants of all ages. Each week,
participants will energetically explore a different theme using songs,
fantastic finger plays, a story, and a simple craft. From the opening welcome
song to the final finger play, participants will be moving and grooving the
afternoon away. This exhilarating and fun-filled program will be held on
Wednesdays from 4:00 – 4:45 p.m. Advance
registration is required. Meeting dates are: 10/24, 10/31, 11/7 and 11/14.
“Toddler Time” This
program is open to children ages 2 & 3. Children attend with their parents
and enjoy a fun half-hour of thematic stories, games, songs and a simple craft.
Meets on Thursdays, 9:30 –
10:00 a.m. Advance registration is required. Meeting dates are: 10/25, 11/1,
11/8 and 11/15.
