“Ladybug Award”

The Leach Library is pleased to be participating in the Ladybug Award voting this year.  Each year, librarians from around the state nominate ten outstanding picture books to be voted on by the children of New Hampshire. Participants in preschool through grade 3 can vote on their favorite book from the list of nominated titles. The books will be on display this month and next. Stop by and read one of the titles and be ready to cast your vote starting at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 13 and ending on Saturday, November 17. Everyone who votes will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a fun Ladybug prize.

“Mother Goose Matching Game”

The Leach Library Children’s Room will be offering a matching game beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, October 1 and ending on October 31. Stop by the Children’s Room desk to pick up a game.  All games will be entered into a drawing for a change to win a cool prize.

“Create a Craft”

During the month of October, the Leach Library Children’s Room will be offering a new fun craft each week. At the start of each week, the library will provide supplies for a new, creative craft and place them in the box on the spotlight shelf for patrons to create. A new craft may be picked up each week starting at 9:00 a.m. on Monday 10/1, Tuesday 10/9, and Monday 10/15, 10/22 and 10/29.

“Delve into Knowledge”

During the month of October, Leach Library Children’s Room will be offering an exciting weekly trivia challenge. Stop by the Children’s Room desk to answer our special trivia challenge question. If you are not sure of the answer, use one of our books or the Internet to help you. All answers will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a cool prize. A new trivia challenge will be available each week starting at 9:00 a.m. on Monday 10/1, Tuesday 10/9, and Monday 10/15, 10/22 and 10/29.
