Upcoming Children's Room Programs

“Pumpkin Patch”

 The Library will be hosting its annual Halloween celebrations on Monday, October 24 and Tuesday, October 25 from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. Those who wish to may participate in a costume parade beginning at 4:15 p.m. each day. During this program we will learn some amazing facts about our state fruit. We will follow the many adventures of The Runaway Pumpkin and count Ten Orange Pumpkins. Local author, and Londonderry resident, Dave Bastien will be present to read his Halloween story Pick Me! Pick Me! The Story of the Magic Pumpkin. The program will conclude with a visit with the Itsy Bitsy Pumpkin and a rousing round of 5 Little Pumpkins. Those participants who wish can stay for a showing of the short animated film Toy Story of Terror. These fun-filled programs are open to 90 participants for each session. “Fall Session 2 Programs”

The Children’s Room will be offering the following programs as part of Fall Session 2: Craft Time, Shake, Move & Read, and Toddler Time. Fall Session 2 will run October 26 through November 17. Advance registration is required and begins at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, October 17. To register call 432-1127 or stop by the Children’s Room.

 “Craft Time” Calling all children! Children of all ages are invited to the library to explore their creative side. Using a variety of materials, each week participants will discover a different fun craft to create. Meets on Wednesdays, 9:30 - 10:15 a.m. Advance registration is required. Meeting dates are: 10/26, 11/2, 11/9 and 11/16.

 “Shake, Move & Read” This engaging program is open to participants of all ages. Each week, participants will energetically explore a different theme using songs, fantastic finger plays, a story and simple craft. From the opening welcome song, to the final finger play, participants will be moving and grooving the afternoon away. This exhilarating and fun-filled program is open to participants of all ages and will be held on Wednesdays from 4:00 – 4:45 p.m.  Advance registration is required. Meeting dates are: 10/26, 11/2, 11/9 and 11/16.

 “Toddler Time “This program is open to children ages 2 & 3. Children attend with their parents and enjoy a fun half-hour of thematic stories, games, songs and a simple craft. Meets on Thursdays, 9:30 - 10:00 a.m. Advance registration is required. Meeting dates are: 10/27, 11/3, 11/10 and 11/17.
