Leach Library to Host “Spies in Time”

On Thursday, November 17 at 7:00 p.m., the Leach Library will host Dr. Douglas Wheeler’s presentation, “Spies in Time”.

Dr. Wheeler is Professor of History Emeritus at the University of New Hampshire and an instructor at Granite State College.  He earned an A.B. at Dartmouth College as well as an M.A. and Ph.D. in History from Boston University.

Utilizing his research, Dr. Wheeler will discuss how spying and intelligence activities have influenced the course of history.  He will trace the history of espionage from the Dreyfus case in France to the Aldrich Ames case in the United States by focusing on how human motives, traits, and ideas shape the search for secret information.

This program is free and open to the public with seating limited to the first 90 individuals.  It will be held in the library’s lower-level meeting room.  Light refreshments will be served.
