On Thursday, September 18 at 7:00 p.m. the Leach Library will host the event, “Writing in Different Genres” presented by novelist, Vincent H. O’Neil.
Mr. O’Neil holds a Bachelor of Science degree from West Point and a Master of Arts degree in International Business from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. He brings a wealth of life experience to his writing having served as a US Army officer, a risk manager, an advertiser, and an apprentice librarian. He continues to write novels and short stories in the mystery, science fiction, and horror genres.
Join us for an inside look at the fiction writing process. Mr. O’Neil will speak about the challenges and rewards of writing in more than one literary category, as well as the research that is conducted for different book projects, the unique requirements of writing in each genre, and why authors decide to branch out.
This program is free and open to the public with seating limited to the first 90 individuals. It will be held in the library’s lower-level meeting room. Light refreshments will be served.
