Meet Unusual and Unique Animals at the Leach Library Children’s Room

Mona Headen from Critters ‘N Creatures will be at the library on Monday, May 13 from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. with some of her most unusual and unique animals. Come to the library to learn about animals that look just a little different than you would expect. Animals may include a screaming hairy armadillo, pancake tortoise and giant gecko. Those participants who wish, will have an opportunity to touch a special visitor at the end of the program (live animals). This program is open to 90 participants of all ages. Advance registration is required and begins at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, May 6. To register, call 432-1127 or come by the Children’s Room.

Decorate your own bucket hat at the Leach Library Children’s Room

Come to the library on Thursday, May 16 from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. to decorate your own canvas bucket hat. Using fabric markers, participants can create a stylish hat to help keep cool in the summer months to come. This exciting program is open to 90 participants and advance registration is required. To register, call 432-1127 beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, May 6.
