The Return of the Browser Wars

Remember the 1990s when Netscape and Microsoft battled it out for browser supremacy? Those days seem to have returned with the rise of Mozilla Firefox, which arose out of the ashes of Netscape. Mozilla will soon launch Firefox 3.0 and not to be outdone, Microsoft is launching Internet Explorer 8.0 in the near future as well. Apple has recently gotten into the fray with the launch of its browser, Safari, for the PC. Mozilla has about 15% of the browser market but that number is rising. We’ll have to wait and see if Microsoft can fight back the upstart. All of these browsers are sure to have interesting new tools that will make it easier and faster to surf the web than ever before.
