Leach Library Hosts “Halloween Harvest: Ghosts, Goblins & More”

On Thursday, October 17 at 7:00 p.m., Mr. Davis Bates will present “Halloween Harvest: Ghosts, Goblins & More.”
Mr. Bates has been telling stories for forty years in schools, libraries, colleges, and community settings around New England and across the country.  His recording of Family Stories won a Parent’s Choice Gold Award, and was named one of the year’s best audio recordings by Booklist Magazine.
Join Mr. Bates as he performs harvest stories from the past and present, songs of the supernatural, Native American stories, true-life ghost stories, and family tales.  There will be sing-alongs in addition to a short lesson in how to play music with spoons from a kitchen drawer.
This program is free and open to the public with seating limited to the first 90 individuals.  It will be held in the library’s lower-level meeting room.  Light refreshments will be served.
