On
Thursday, June 14 at 7:00 p.m., Tim Caverly will present the program “Allagash
Tails and Tales: New England’s Wild River” at Leach Library.
Tim
Caverly has spent his life in Maine’s outdoors.
He earned a Bachelor of Science and a teaching certificate from the
University of Maine at Machias while working for the Maine Department of
Conservation. After a long career as a
Maine Park Ranger, Mr. Caverly continues to share stories about the Maine woods
through his programs and self-published books.
Hear
first-hand about the lore, legends, and characters that Mr. Caverly experienced
during his 32 years as a Maine Park Ranger.
The presentation will include music as well as scenic and historic photos
from our “northern forest”. The audience
will “canoe” the world famous river, discover forgotten logging history, and
learn about Native American archaeology.
This
program is sponsored by the Friends of the Londonderry Leach Library. The event is free and open to the public with
seating limited to the first 90 individuals. It will be held in the library’s lower-level
meeting room. Light refreshments will be
served.
