Punch Puppet Show”
Join the Modern Times Theater at the Leach
Library on Monday,
May 14 from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. for a program full of old-time fun. The show begins with a concert of well-known songs played on ukulele, bass and bicycle pump. Participants will then be treated to The Perils of Mr. Punch puppet show. This is hand-puppetry at its best, in a style that has entertained children for centuries. In addition to the puppet show, the program also features live music, sing-a-longs, classic jokes and gags, and audience participation. After the show, the audience is always invited backstage to try their hands at puppetry. This entertaining program is open to 90 participants of all ages, and advance registration is required. To register, stop by the Children’s Room, or call 432-1127 beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, May 7.
