“National Library Week Raffle”
Starting Monday,
April 10 and ending on Saturday, April 15 each children’s item checked out from
the Leach Library will earn you a raffle ticket for a chance to win an amazing,
framed, hand-painted, original work of art that is painted on a turkey feather
by local artist Tom Abruzese. Stop by the display case in the Children’s Room
to see what the prize looks like.
“National Library Week Craft”
Starting Monday, April 10 and ending on
Saturday, April 15 patrons are invited to create their own corner critter
bookmark. Stop by the Children’s Room desk to pick up the supplies and create
your reading friend in the library, or in the comfort of your own home.
“Great Stone Face Voting”
Raffle tickets for books read by
4-6 graders may be dropped off at the Leach Library starting in February and
ending on Saturday, April 8. After reading the books, you may vote for the
Great Stone Face award starting Monday, April 10 at 9:00 a.m. and ending on
Saturday, April 15. Be sure to stop in and cast your vote to help select this
year’s Great Stone Face book.
Everyone who votes will receive a bookmark.
“Flower Power Book Bingo”
Come to the library on Monday,
April 17 from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. and play a fun picture version of the popular
game. All participants will win and have a chance to select books from our
special selection tables. This exciting program is open to 90 participants of
all ages. Advance registration is required and begins on Monday, April 10 at
9:00 a.m. To register, call 432-1127 or come by the Children’s Room.
