“National Library Week Raffle”
Starting Monday, April 11 through closing on Saturday, April
16, during National Library Week, for each children’s item checked out from the
library during this week, you will earn a raffle ticket for a chance to win a
cool book bag. Stop by the display case in the Children’s Room to see what the
book bag looks like.
“National Library Week Craft”
Starting Monday, April 11 through
closing on Saturday, April 16, during National Library Week, patrons are
invited to create their own stained glass inspired bookmark. Stop by the
Children’s Room desk to pick up the supplies and create your masterpiece in the
library, or in the comfort of your own home.
“Great Stone Face Voting”
Raffle tickets for books read by 4-6 graders may be dropped
off until closing on Saturday, April 9. After reading the books, you may vote
for the Great Stone Face award beginning Monday, April 11 at 9:00 a.m., and
voting continues through closing on Saturday, April 16. Be sure to stop in and
cast your vote to help select this year’s Great Stone Face book. Everyone who
votes will receive a bookmark.
“Silly Stories”
Come to the library to tickle your funny bone on Monday,
April 18 from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. Participants will giggle the program away trying
to Count the Monkeys and delight in
finding out what happens Because I
stubbed my toe. We will round off our rollicking good time with a trip
“Down by the Bay” and we will play a silly mixed up matching game. Participants
are also welcomed to attend in their silliest outfits and bring their favorite
joke or riddle to share. Everyone who attends will receive a silly accessory to
help set the mood. This fun-filled program is open to 90 participants of all
ages. Advance registration is required and begins at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, April
11. To register, call 432-1127 or stop by the Children’s Room.
