Upcoming Children's Room Programs

“Visit with Peter Rabbit”

Hop on into the library on Monday, March 21 from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. and explore the wonderful world of rabbits. From Peter’s own story to those of a bunny who loves chocolate cake, these stories will leave you eager to burrow into more. Participants will be able to try their hand at a famous rabbit guessing game, and there will be plenty of time for a hug and picture with Peter. This program is open to 90 participants of all ages. Advance registration for this adventurous program is required and begins at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, March 14. To register, call 432-1127 or stop by the Children’s Room. 

“Spring Session 1 Programs”

The Children’s Room will be offering the following programs as part of Spring Session 1: Craft Time, Shake, Move and Read, and Toddler Time. Spring Session 1 will run March 23 through April 14. Advance registration is required and begins at 9:00 a.m. Monday, March 14.

Craft Time

Calling all children! Children of all ages are invited to the library to explore their creative side. Using a variety of materials, each week participants will discover a different fun craft to create. Meets on Wednesdays from 9:30 – 10:15 a.m. Advance registration is required. Meeting dates are: 3/23, 3/30, 4/6 and 4/13. 

Shake, Move & Read

This engaging program is open to participants of all ages. Shake, Move & Read allows families to explore books through movement and music. Each week, participants will energetically explore a different theme using songs, fantastic finger plays, a story and simple craft. From the opening welcome song, to the final finger play, participants will be moving and grooving the afternoon away. This exhilarating and fun-filled program is open to participants of all ages and will be held on Wednesdays from 4:00 – 4:45 p.m. Advance registration is required. Meeting dates are: 3/23, 3/30, 4/6 and 4/13.

Toddler Time

This program is open to children ages 2 & 3. Children attend with their parents and enjoy a fun half-hour of thematic stories, games, songs and a simple craft. Meets on Thursdays, 9:30 - 10:00 a.m. Advance registration is required. Meeting dates are: 3/24, 3/31, 4/7 and 4/14.
