“Need for Speed”
Superheroes aren’t the only things
that are super-fast. Come to the library on Monday, July 27 from 11:00 a.m. –
12:00 p.m. and hear stories of all things fast. Participants will also learn
fascinating information about some of the fastest animals, people and machines
and play a faster or slower game. Registration is required and begins
the Thursday prior to the program.
“Story Time –
Beach Day”
Come
to the library on Tuesday, July 28 from 10:00 – 10:30 a.m. to have some summer
fun at the beach. Patrons of all ages are invited to this energetic half-hour program
of exciting stories, frolicking finger plays and sensational songs. Each week,
one lucky patron will win a special raffle prize. No registration is
required for this drop-in program.
“Heroes & Villains Animal Show”
On Wednesday, July 29 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Mona
Headen from Critters ‘N Creatures will present her Heroes & Villains Animal Show. During this show, kids explore
the myths surrounding why some animals are considered “heroes” and others “bad
guys”. Animal visitors may include a Bat, Snake, Alligator, Hedgehog, Hissing
Cockroaches and Armadillo. Those participants who wish will have a chance to
touch one of the animal visitors at the end of the program (live animals). Registration
is required and begins the Thursday prior to the program. This program
is being sponsored by The Friends of the Londonderry Leach Library.
“Craft Time – Color your own Phoenix Puppet”
Come by the library on Thursday,
July 30 from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. or 1:00 – 1:45 p.m. to create your own Phoenix
puppet. During this program, patrons will be able to color their own magical
puppet. Each session is open to 70 participants. Registration is
required and begins the Thursday prior to the program.
