Enjoy Music of the Old West at the Leach Library Children’s Room

Come to the library on Monday, February 10 from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. and hear the songs of the Old West with Skip Gorman. Using songs, stories, poems and a variety of period instruments, such as minstrel banjo, cross tuned fiddle, harmonica, guitar, cow bones and the 'limberjack,' Skip will lead patrons on an engaging and enjoyable journey through the history of the American West. During the program, participants will also learn about the lives of early pioneers; cowboys and cowgirls; Mexican vaqueros; Native Americans; gold seekers; cattle drives and much much more. This exciting program is open to 90 participants of all ages. Advance registration is required and begins at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, February 3.
