Children's Room Program

Celebrate Maurice Sendak’s birthday at the Leach Library Children’s Room - Celebrate the imagination of Maurice Sendak at the library on Monday, June 4 from 4:00– 5:00 p.m. Participants at this wild rumpus will hear some of his best loved stories, including Where the Wild Things Are and will watch a video of “Chicken Soup with Rice”. We will also get to know some of his most famous illustrated characters. A rousing chorus of “Happy Birthday” will round out this party and participants will receive their own “wild thing.” This celebration is open to 90 participants and advance registration is required.
