Criterion Collection

The Criterion Collection is a continuing series of important classic and contemporary films, issued on DVD, that offer the highest technical quality and numerous special features. Among the great directors featured in the collection include Akira Kurosawa, Alfred Hitchcock, and Stanley Kubrick. Leach Library currently holds 49 movies from the collection. DVD BAT
The Battle of Algiers. Director: Gillo Pontecorvo. 1966. An account of the bloodiest revolution in modern history.

Bicycle Thieves. Director: Vittorio De Sica. 1948. A man and his son search for a stolen bicycle vital for his job.

DVD LA
La Haine. Director: Mathieu Kassovitz. 1995. Abdel, a local hoodlum, is hospitalized after a riot, where a policeman lost his gun. His friend Vinz finds it and claims he will kill a cop if Abdel dies.
