The Leach Library is pleased to announce a new service that provides online language learning instruction to all library card-holders. This service is available through Mango Languages, an easy to use online language-learning system that teaches conversational skills for a wide range of languages, including French, Spanish, German, Russian, Japanese, and English for Spanish Speakers. Users listen to and repeat conversations to learn individual words and phrases as well as learn how they are used by native speakers. This self-paced language learning service is available both in the library and from the convenience of home.
Library card-holders can access this service by visiting the library’s website at www.londonderrynh.org/library/library.htm, clicking on Reference Services, then Reference Databases, and selecting Mango Language Learning. To begin a session without tracking your progress, simply enter your card number and click Start Learning. If you wish to store and track your progress, enter your library card number, e-mail address, and create a password in the Create a Profile fields and begin your personalized language learning experience.
