Analog television broadcasts to end on February 17, 2009

At midnight on February 17, 2009 television stations will no longer broadcast in analog and will switch to 100% digital broadcasting. If you currently use an antenna to watch television you will need to purchase a digital converter box to continue to use it. A converter box plugs into your TV and will keep it working after Feb. 17, 2009. The federal government is now offering two $40 coupons per household towards the purchase of these boxes. Coupons can be applied for by visiting https://www.dtv2009.gov/ or call the coupon program 24-hour hotline 1-888-DTV-2009 (1-888-388-2009).
