Downloadable Audiobooks Now Available

Leach Library now provides access to downloadable audiobooks through the website http://nh.lib.overdrive.com. Getting started is quick and easy. One begins by downloading the free software at the web site already mentioned As long as you have Windows 2000 or above you can checkout, download, and listen to MP3 audio files. After downloading, some files can be burned to a CD and almost every file can be transferred to a MP3 player. Please note that IPODS are unfortunately not compatible with this service. The Overdrive web site has a list of known compatible portable devices available at http://www.overdrive.com/DeviceResourceCenter/compatible.asp. Please feel free to contact the Reference Staff with any questions or concerns. Not sure about which MP3 player to buy? No problem! Check out http://www.cnet.com, which contains reviews of, and a buying guide for, MP3 players.
